Cynicism is a school of ancient Greek
philosophy which espouses the tenets of a virtuous life in accordance
with natural laws.
Cynic philosophers reject the
acquisition of the materialistic resources (wealth, fame, etc.) by
which civilized society generally measures individual success.
Instead, Cynicism proposes that, as reasoning beings, we can attain
happiness through rigorous training of both the body and the mind.
This synergy of physical form and intellect provides a state of
instinctual awareness in which one is able to act and react,
unfettered, to the flow of life.
